Re: Vega manual steering box in 3rd gen Camaro help
As usual. I know it is somewhere in the Quay Car stuff on the upper deck, but I can't seem to locate it.
Larry Woodfin ( AKA Dragsinger) remember how I had the car stuff all over that upper deck when you looked at it? I will look again today.

Adger, yes, I remember. You have many boxes of parts for that project. By that way, not long after I looked at your project, I found a similar project in San Antonio and bought it.
It is now my "Lamplighter" project, and it is finished and race-ready

Re: Vega manual steering box in 3rd gen Camaro help
Yes, I knew that. John told me about it. that was a great "Find"
I have done a little work on the Quay project, but not much. Airplanes and property and "Life is taking up time. I took the "Car in White & Primer" to Garry Medder in Shreveport and he did a 8.50 cage updated to a 7.50 FC type cage. I've rounded up some parts to complete the body restoration. Right now it is sitting in my trailer. Powdercoat will be the next step. Focus is off of the Quay project and on the latest car purchase. I bought the Car Jerry Sherman was building when he passed away. It is Louis Mosley's former ride. Planning on being at the Tulsa divisional with it if all goes well. Hope your doing well,,, Adg

I recently went through this same scenario and finally ended up getting a G body conversion box from Speedway Motors. It was a new box with a new pitman arm. and it fit like it was made for my 90 IROC.

Mike, Is the G-body manual box similar to the S-10? Do you have any pictures? Frank |
