Tom, have they said there will be new rules for 09, and if so, any ideas on what they may be? We are wanting to start racing the car either at the west coast swing or the 09 Winternats. Getting old, not a lot of years left, if you know what I mean....LOL.... thanks Tom

I'm also considering having a 305 built, east coast preferably, and was wondering the same as the original post, gotta kick out of your choice of words, though.

Thumbs up Re: looking for an engine builder

Skooter,

West Coast, I would stick with Sorenson, East Coast = Bud Rowe builds the best bang for the buck and they all run fast...He's great to work with and has the most experience with 283,305,350 etc..# .252-633-4084, Try him you won't be SORRY... Dave...1033/stock(350)

I would highly recommend Parsons & Meyers for your 305. They do my 305 and I could not be happier.
If you are serious about going fast, these are the guys you need to talk to. Very easy to work with, they do what they say they're going to do and deliver on time. They have gone out of their way to help me sort out my combo. Can't say enough good things about them. They will not treat you like most others in the industry do. Any other questions feel free to ask.

You may be looking at him in the mirror every day!! If you can do any engine building yourself it can be alot of fun. I broke my motor several years ago. I could only save one head, not even the oil pan. There are so many engine builders and some depend on your budgit. Mine was very tight. So I decided to do it myself. This is no class or record setting piece but I could race the next year and run .500 under the index,if needed. Not fast at all but I did it myself. This will make many laugh,,,, .030 TRW forged pistons, cast stock crank. I did put good rings in,I think. Used Cam dynamics from 90's. Used K-Motion springs, new valves and I did the valve job and CCing myself,,Thanks to help from Rich Bieble and guys on this sight. I have lots more in this engine,.035 excess deck clearance and lifters are comp cams " raceing". I am building a house this year so raceing will be very limited. Who builds the motors for the Jody Lang? Tim Barrett and Linda 1925 H/SA

How fast do you want to go? If you want to be fast go with the sorensen's , By far they are the best out there, just look at there track record. Good luck

"SKOOTER"
Interesting choice of names.... I'll admit I got a kick out of it.

What do you do that makes you so paranoid that would preclude the use of your real name... are you on some sort of "most wanted": list somewhere?

I broke my long-standing, self-imposed rule not to respond to "anonymous" posts because your "nom de plume" was so cute.... Made me smile... But, if you want anybody to pay any attention to what you say, you really should use your real name. Most people just ignore "no-names" on here... This was the exception for me. Probably won't happen, again...
