Propane works as a combustion catalyst. It is like Nitrous for a diesel. Better burn, more power, claims of 11% better fuel mileage counting the cost of propane. Always do vapor injection, and not liquid. It is the same stuff in your propane tank for the furnace. For you environmental people, it even reduces emissions significantly.

I know if I had a bit more power, the Motorhome engine wouldnt be screaming on every hill.

Exclamation Re: Per Mile Cost

Packing a big cooler with food, sharing motel rooms or staying with friends, planning fuel stops in less expensive states (The 60 gal. aux. tank comes in handy!), slower towing speeds, credit cards with cash back on fuel (but you have to pay them off each month), as well as budgeting at home, etc.
What sucks is that I've been doing that all along!

I went to Piedmont today. I ran 65-68 most of the way pulling my open trailer with my 06 duramax. I got 13.6 mpg. Last weekend running 70-75 I got 12.4 mpg.

Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4.7L towing open trailer with 3700lb car to San Antonio and back: $0.24/mile. I don't think I'll be quitting anytime soon. It does suck, but it's no different than the cost of materials going up for someone who works in construction. I do make money racing, and it is tied directly to my business of graphic design and printing for motorsports, so it'd cost me more to quit racing than to keep going. Gas is a staple, and I already use a near-minimum amount of fuel, so unfortunately, whatever they charge, I *have* to pay it.

Default Duramax?

Anyone towing with a new 2007.5 or 2008 Duramax GMC or Chevrolet? I am looking at a killer deal on one now, $12,000 off sticker with my GM rebates. Thanks, Dyno

Talking Re: Per Mile Cost

Hey Chip I got one for ya ...rain off & on today (sunday) @ Norwalk Marissa (my wife) drove up Fri. in her Mini Cooper. She filled up before she left work. She left for home about 3m about 4:30 I looked in the camper & found this neet looking purse! I called her on her cell...hey you missing something? Oh shxx! I ask how you on gas? Oh alittle more then 1/2 a tank. She drove from her work in Chillicothe to Norwalk (we went out to dinner sat. night in it ) then drove back home on 3/4 a tank of gas! The guys @ BMW are great! little car gets 36-38 mpg & it'll run 127 mph too! it has a 4.35 gear in it too! Dad thinks it will run somewhere in the 10's in the 1/8th! LOL Oh & chip looks like I get to do a double header...down to 15 cars @ Norwalk when it was called & moved to Columbus Div.race in July!
