I guess I needed to make that clearer huh? It has not been the players lack of effort that emptied the stands, it was the management. I bet they hope Mr McDonough (sic?) can fill the stands even when they lose like at Wrigley Field.
But best of all, I still recall the anouncer at Joliet a few years back telling everyone to "go look at the cars in the pits" as the last TF car turned off and Stock Eliminator and Super Street were in staging. You could have been killed by the stampede. Not the best day in marketing history!!! Like you say, the offense wording needs to be changed, if someone is hit with a bat they don't call it "baseballed!" |

30 years ago when Vince lloyd was the TV announcer and the stands were full you couldn't buy a hawks ticket for $200 the place was jambed--Had a buddy that worked the ticket counter we ALWAYS had tickets--He held them back and didn't rip us off either--First row first balcony 10 seats either side of center ice--We had the TV cameras right over our shoulder---Those were the days---Wirtz is/was a tight bastard in everything he ever did--Made tons of money but never spent any of it unless he absolutely had to--Glad he is gone !!!!!---The fans definately deserve/deserved better!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway got a call into my local state rep see what this piece of work can do--He is onthe legal/laws committee---Com p387
