Talking Re: Qualifying Money

It was from Hughes Performance they gave 50.00$ cash or 100.00$ in store. I thought that was pretty cool of them!

NHRA should give added points for #1 qualifier AND National records. Remember, it's the performance based class?

When I quit in 1979 I'm pretty sure we still got points for records. I know we did in the early '70s. I don't know when they quit? Used to get 200 points for an et record, 100 for the MPH record. I think 100 points was also one round in eliminations.

I agree, #1 and records should certainly be worth points. I actually think top ten qualifiers should all get points.

Ed is correct (I was going to say right) I remember when this was the norm. When did tis stop and why? I remember getting $200 for Low Qualifier at Bradenton in '04 but then nothing in '05. Jim
