Chris I only see 1 Div. 3 race...Clay-City. Martin is (to me) Div.5. Tompson & Pittsbrug are (to me) Div.1. When I started running IHRA Div.3 was Tri-State,Kanawaha Valley,Clay-City,Dragway 42 & Milan...Soo like I said looks to me like they only have 1 Div.3 race...& that's all I'll run (may go to Mooresville to get a sunburn lol)

Heck that's a great sched. closest race 2-1/2 hrs to a dump of a track ( Thompson) I seem to recall having a points meet there back in the 90's, Everyone bitching about the track some racers left without ever running elim. I was there in 07 for a stick shift race, couldn't see much difference. I suppose I got spoiled for a while having so many close races at nice tracks. I love racing @ Martin wish it were closer 4-1/2 -5 hours for me but worth the diesel fuel to tow there, Haven't been to Clay City in a few years so don't know about it now Facility was pretty sparce bacvk then, still 6 hr. tow. I guess I have all winter to decide, NHRA or IHRA or some combination of both, I guess it will mostly come down to travel distance. Joe

Joe your so upset your stuttering,
The shame is 3 years ago we had 5 national events and easily that many divisionals within a reasonable drive. Now with 2 nationals and for me Pitts (pro am) maybe and Martin (pro am). The border issue notwithstanding that is all I can see being realistic to aim for. IHRA will be getting less of my money, not out of discontent but out of scheduling and geography. I still dont understand as all of the nationals were well attended. The lack of a replacement for Norwalk and its gate is just mind boggling |

It looks like IHRA has moved Div 3 to west of the Appalachian Mountains and Division 1 to the east.
I was at Thompson for a Jegs S/SS race. I thought the track was in good shape. It was at one of the NSCA races. They had "street" cars there running in the 7's at 180 mph. Just have to get on the brakes pretty hard after the finish line.

Pittsburgh needs to run 1/8th mile. Not much stopping room.

My only complaint is there are more than 8 divisional races that I want to attend and if I declare Div. 2, I would have #9 & #10 event at Darlington, which would be my #3 and #4 IN DIVISION. What to do? Should I let my husband and crew chief drive a couple or try to classify my car into Super Stock (if I could index)?
