I wonder if the Bader Family would be interested in an event like this. Norwalk is a great race facility, good location, and good people run the track. I'll bet they would get a ton of cars to boot.

There are tracks & track owners that have the place & the spectator base to do a US Class Nationals race or be a part of the series. They will just have to get in the right position to do it. They will have to work to promote it to maxamize their profit.

Time for it again.
Any track that is associated with NHRA is going to feel pressure to NOT run an independent race like the US Class Nationals. Read the fine print in the sanction contract. It happend the first time & will happen again because they feel threatened. That is something that must be workerd on . Case in point look at the latest race in Houston.. compromise.. 50% nitro... It is my opinion they will pressure insurance companies too. We lost a couple of key people at the US Class Nationals because of the pressure. Others stepped up and made it happen. I was proud to be a part of it. It can be done again & again, but it will have to be very well organized. I was told a race at Virginia was planned as a second US Class Nationals, but it didn't happen. I suspect it was outside pressure. No one ever called to tell me. Then Alex faced personal attacks from a racer with past issues & ulterior motives. It just got to be too much of a hassel to do it again. Now is the time to reorganize & do it again as a series. I'm sure ready.

Beech Bend, being an NHRA track, might be pressured by the NHRA to not have the race, (see the earlier post by Adger Smith). If that is the case, an IHRA track may be a viable option.

I wonder if Bill Kapolka from Milan Dragway would be interested. Milan is an IHRA track that lost the Motor City Nationals. As far as I know with the exception of the NMCA and possibly Pinks, I don't know if Milan has any other large events not even an IHRA points meet. There is another good possibility, Milan is a nice facility that could handle the cars and people.
