Very sad.... But I cant even count the amount of times I have seen people in the pits doing this!!!
People need to smarten up and be safe... This is very bad press for drag racing!!!

Sad but I am surprised it doesn't happen more often.
I can't count the times I see cars with tires spinning about 100 mph in high gear "warning things up" and all that is supporting it is a $99 floor jack sitting in the grass or dirt....come on! WOuld you crawl under it jacked up like that? Aren't those your kids or grandkids playing in the pits in front of your car? Do you really think if the little o-ring split and the jack fell down you could stop it within 50 feet? I have even seen the cars idling in gear, nobody in it and sitting on a jack only! THat is so dangerous it is unbelieveable act of stupidity. Sorry about Ron, never met him but his name is familiar to us that follow racing. Be SAFER GUYS! It won;t be just you that can get hurt. Think safe, race as safe as you can and BE PREPARED. I just hooked up the kill switch feature on the Digital Delay wiring kit. BUtton on top of steering wheel in dragster. We have had an inside master cable for 8 years and it is great. The kill button can be hit with either hand. Nice feature by Digital Delay. Jok |
