I'm going to guess Jeff Hefler. Something just makes me think that. FYI Jeff is now the track manager at Texas Raceway. Maybe the locals will actually be able to win a couple races without Jeff being in the other lane.

That's my guess too, judging from the entry list.

If his driver is a former WC or past event winner he can enter before the entries close.
Keep that in mind.

I'd say that's a good guess. Maybe not correct, but a good educated guess. It'd be a wise choice on the part of the owners as well.

Yes, I think you're right. For some reason I was thinking that the driver was going to go to all 23 races and didn't think Jeff would be able to take that many weekends off from the track. Since it's just for the first part of the season, looks like Jeff is the man.

Ok so Al Corda was WC and more than once.......He raced in this area many years ago. I recall seeing a Mopar convertible at Maple Grove way back in the old days. His name was lettered very large on the side of the car....I think that was a SS'er.....I knew he won Indy and maybe a couple times but couldn't recall if he won the WC title.......

Make your predictions here!
Albeit this thread has long since gone stale and I never did admit to the masses (a few in private) Jeff Hefler was correct, but as many pointed out his duties past Gainesville and our inablity to keep the damm thing on the track hurt that till later in the year if Jeff is still gracious enough to drive for us he is always welcome.

He has been an absolutley invaluable source of information, from a technical perspective, and is in short just one class act. From the day he approached us to assist, until today in a quest for another driver, and him hitting the phones for us. Some of the questions and answers you here thought I was ignoring, well we were working on the same route as provided by Jeff. So it wasnt that I was ignoring or that I had a better way, in some cases we felt we already had the right answer it was just a matter of putting it into play.

Jeff had a couple of names for us , from the West Coast, and we were pursuing those as well.

But I truly want to thank all the people who responded to this prediction poll.

When faced with an almost insurmountable task of finding us a major league driver.....well on my way to Minnesota I thought, hey why not the prediction poll....so I put all the different names listed here on a new list and tracked down phone numbers for all of them, and well.....started calling.

THANKS ! You all saved my Butt.....lol......

I am henceforth when in need of a driver going to keep going down this list......why not , some superqualified drivers and some really nice people made this list.

Thanks again CR Peoples.......

You saved my butt, yet again..........

And Al Corda wasnt available for us....hes the only name Ill exclude
