Good choice, it's the softest engine combo left for the Turbo Dodges. That year the 2.2 used the T2 intake, and Mitsubishi turbo. The Mitsu is so small, it will probably realistically make nearly the same power as the '89 2.5 T1. But, it's factored much lower (I forget now what it's factored HP is). Plus the Shadow/Sundance are pretty light. Should be fun...

Lurking here trying to absorb as much FWD turbo Mopar info and a question comes to mind, are there any other bigger tranny/diff units that can be "modified" to run in the FWD Mopars ? Like out of ? Im just thinking and curious, a later model 6 ? Or SRT4 ? Or.....just thinking.....this was something I was thinking may and have been told is a weak link in the cars , As long as its a Mopar unit its legal right ?

Super secret cam from Autozone. Keep the turbo legal and it will be consistant.
Sorry I haven't posted but I've been busy.

I always ran the stock cam. Car could be very consistent (when and if I left it alone!).
Biggest consistency secrete? Run a stick like I did. Everybody thinks with a turbo you need an auto so you can build the boost while staging. Wrong. That in itself leads to inconsistency as the boost will vary as you try to stage against the brakes. A turbo will go to your pre-determined boost as soon as you side step the clutch. Instantly. Stiff front shocks. I ran Koni "sport" with adjustable knob on top (still drove it on the street). My Shelby had the Getrag trans. Never had a problem internally. Once I went to a lite aluminum flywheel and the stiff Koni's I never had a problem with trans axles. Too much fuel is better than not enough! I always ran C-16 and 20-22 #'s of boost using the factory inter-cooler. Man, I always wanted to try an aftermarket inter-cooler...it would have helped a bunch!
