I had to take a shot so I tried some things and it slowed the car up. Doug made a good pass, and beat me.

Going back to Nitro Joes stats through 2006, I've always had a car in the top 10 in either A or B so I think my car runs pretty decent. I never had a heads up race where I didn't feel I had a legitimate shot, until today.

I don't fault Doug or anyone who races a CJ or a Challenger. I do however put the onus on NHRA to factor these cars correctly, and they have failed miserably.

To watch a car in your same class ride the break pedal from the 1000' mark all the way to the finish line is discouraging and a slap in the face.

This may sound like sour grapes to some, but for those who have put the time, effort and money into your cars as I have and to be mitigated to a middle of the pack car by the swipe of a pen, I'm sure you can relate.

Dave, that's just calling a spade a spade. 9.87@125 is rediculous. If that was all out and the mph reflected it, that would be one thing. Hey NHRA, thanks for legalizing a super stock/modified motor

You can't fault the driver for protecting his combo. Doug is a good guy, and did what he needed to do.

Well said! You gave it a good run, and when you just do it, anything can happen...

The Drap Pak Challengers arent going to win all of their races...

But now we will have to wait until Monday for the the rest of the story, as it has been postponed by the rain.

That's a pretty bold statement. Are you sure you want to go out on a limb like that? LOL. Nobody wins all their races in a dial-in format.

What percentage of heads-up races do you think the new DPs will win? As long as they don't break, red light or have to run a new Mustang, I bet they will win at least 95% of their heads-up races.

Toby given that criteria with a word change or so I'll bet you could describe 50% of the cars in stock or superstock.
Sort of like if nobody was quicker than you, you would always be number 1 qualifier.
