Evan Smith DID have an aluminum center section, it was brought to his attention it was not allowed and he took it out...as I understand it. That was quite awhile ago.

Do the CJ's use an aluminun third member perhaps ?
For a guy who doesn't race at all you certainly are up and not afraid to criticise S/SS
cars and rules.Go and get a part time job as a greeter in Walmart. You can stand there at the entrance way and tell the other old geezers their zipper is open or they're wearing mismatched socks. And use your spell check,it's aluminum not aluminun.

As has already been said, No.

Not in Stock.

We kidded about painting it black, and using one, but we were only kidding.

As to those who are still upset about the new cars, all I can say is try to get over it because there are more coming down the line all of the time.

I was advised to cheat and put one in and paint it black as well as a black painted aluminum driveshaft loop. I was told, "don't worry, tech won't check that"... lol. A hand built Dana 60 now resides in the back of the car.

A magnet and a stick about 3' long is all tech needs to stop any shenanigans.

Ed, since building this car, I've had more helpful tips on how to cheat than legal and helpful information than you could imagine. If our DP can't be legalIy competitive, it'll just turn out to be another quick bracket car. Then we could actually build a motor the way we want and make some power. I still would like to know what we would get for an offered $8,000 valve job?...plus we would have to send them our intake manifold and pay shipping both ways. Things that make you go, Hmmmm?

A Challenger comes with a aluminum center section in all the street cars. Put one on a lift just for grins.

DartMan

"P" parts are not original or conventional!

Dan Wilson

We are aware of the aluminum center section in the street Challengers. Thank you. In the rulebook, the words original and conventional, in context, keep coming back though.
