I knew they were fast, but not that fast. The Mustang James mentioned was the #1 qualifier at the Mid-Mich. NHRA Div. 3 LODRS, where he ran 10.73. It's obvious he was sandbagging by a 1/2 second at that race. Nothing personal against the driver/owner, but NHRA is letting a flawed system run rampant if they stand by and give this particular car a 10 HP hit. Now, he'll run 10.30's instead of 10.20's in E/SA.

Considering that they built Camaros for 35 years and the DP and Mustang for two there should be alot more of them. What percetage of the Camaros were available to every one right off the showroom as production cars100% how many of the Dp or mustangs where off the showroom floor as production cars? Maybe 1 I believe that Mr Dual (sorry if I got the name wrong) built his from a real car but runs the bugus crate motor in it. Not that that is his fault they wont let the real cars in.

So he should have used the word "qualified" when referring to the new cars being at least 8 tenths under. You said he is off on a few counts. What are the others? -Toby |

I agree with the writer. I'm sure with all your racing, none of the quick et's came easy. As far as the make, there has always been a lot of GM cars in the category. Of course there is always some surprises in stock and superstock. Charles Blossom always seem to find one. |
