I was just getting ready to buy new Hoosiers for the Dart and got a flyer with a buy one get one for Toyo drive tires that are designed for stick shift stockers. Before I do something stupid and buy some has anyone out there tried them? The Hoosiers always worked well for me but if I can save 200 bucks I'll do it. Thanks in advance for any information.

I think you just answered your own question ..... Unless you are having problems , why risk it ... I would stick with the Hoosier's, you are getting what you paid for ...? Good Luck,

Where would a person find out about this Toyo 2 for the price of 1 deal? I was thinking of trying a pair of Toyo slicks, a deal like this would certainly be of interest to me.

Hey Rory, I think all Nhra racers are getting a flyer in the mail, but just call a Les Schwab store, they all seem to know about it. One in Oregon City Oregon is 503-657-1235

Rory,
There is a les schwab just across the Aldergrove border crossing on birchbay lynden rd just east of the guide. . You may want to ask a few people that have run the toyo's before you buy a set though, Everybody that I know that has used a set got rid of them in short order. If you come down let me now, You can see my house from the parking lot.

Tim & Phil, I checked on the Toyo & the Les Schwab websites, and I didn`t see any mention of these deal, although I heard Toyo has done this sale before. Since my car is a stick, I figured for $200. or so, I`d like to give the Toyos a try. Plus I could likely benefit from the slightly shorter 29" Toyo`s.
Phil, if I do go to the Les Schwab store near you, I`ll let you know. Thanks.

We run them on our stocker and have no complaints. No, they are not the optimum slick and yes, the radials would be better, but at 2 for 1 it's a good deal. We have run a best 60 ft. of 1.56 with an '85 Olds Cutlass with a 307.
They have also been very consistent. they run back to back ET's on all tracks.
