The T-Bolts and Hemis were kept out of Stock by their low production numbers. The new rules have done away with the need for a specific run of a certain combo.
If you're looking for a "precedence",I would have to look at Shaws Caddy in U. It's way too heavy to make the minimum but it can "move up" to U because it is a V8.
Maybe a better indicator might be the rules. In general regs. under Ballast 4:2, "Maximum amount of removable and/or permanent ballast, unless otherwise stated under Class Requirements, is 500 pounds". With that being said, I'd say it's good till 3740lbs. plus 170 gives us a 3910 lb AA/Stocker.

no billy, it won't work that way. I has no natural class, and dropping one "class (.5) it still has no class.

Somehow, I don't see NHRA putting it out of Stock any time soon and I don't see them making a new class for it halfway through the season. We'll soon see.

oh i have no doubt NHRA will cook the books to keep ford happy, but I'm just saying that by the way the rule is written, its bye bye.

I also have to wonder if the lobotomy comes with those cars, or if you just have to be a really special kind of moron. The 3 times a blown CJ have gotten HP this year its been on a totally unwinnable pass (both skillmans, now fezell).

The way it has been done in the past is you can add enough weight to get the car into the lowest class.
This has been done before. It will not be the first time.
This has happened a few times with the FWD cars but who pays attention to those.

That's what happens when you have lots of money and just don't give a sh## about politics.

Chad nhra has already set the precedent on what to do. No book cooking needed.
Would you rather they just drove down the track? I thought you guys wanted the cars to have more HP.

i have no problem with it at all. I just fail to understand how they run the car out the back door, knowing a) you are not going to win, b) you are very capable of going fast enough to get horsepower doing it.

I think its funny as hell and wish there were more guys like them running the new cars, although I am sure everyone else with the same combo would like to strangle them
