Dion you rock and we had a great time as always in Canada. Although the rain was an inconvenience for racers, fans, IHRA sponsors , etc. it gave us all a lot of time to swap stories. I learned one thing from my Canadian brethren this week-end "Never let the truth stand in the way of good story!!

In the words of Larry Rush, the famed philosopher and Salt Lake super stock racer, I had'nt had that much fun since the hogs ate my brother!!

Congratulations to all class winners and thanks to all for the great week-end! I look forward to crossing paths in the future!!

It was another Marathon weekend at Castrol with Both Mark and Sheldon doing a great job of driving. As well I would assume Mark won stock and Jared won Super Stock for the new Division, great job for the both of them. It was great to see cars come from long distances to take part, there was a great group of Class Racers. Hopefully next year other racers will follow along with Mark and Paul and take advantage of good payouts and the double header format.

As far as the Mustang Bob I am not sure but I think it was a different car but they kind of all look the same. Sure ran fast for poor air and a substantial head wind, if it was a stocker WOW they are factored a little low!!!

Thanks for taking the time to post the photos Dion and hope to see you in the Hat.

Thanks Dion,, for taking the time to do this,,,its very appreciated. We had a National Open at Bremerton this past weekend, and were missing a few of the stockers and superstockers and now I see why,,they were up there with you guys.
Sorry you guys had weather issues, but glad everyone had a good time. Take care.

Dion,

Great shots and thanks for all the little update stories. You could be the "Western Canadian" Jack Matyas, Toby Lang or Larry and Patsy Hill. Isn't technology a wonderful thing!

In addition, it was nice to talk to you regarding the "state of the nation" regarding Stock and Super Stock racing. You are doing what I always wanted to do, run a Stock or Super Stock car. Something about all the work to make a car competitive and live with the thought of a tear down is not my idea of relaxing at the racetrack. I know, I know we could run a "hoodscoop" car and not have to worry about tear down but that would too much fun, running to the bank for more funds every week.LOL! Now back to changing my timers.....

Congratulations on making your car competitive and good luck in your future racing endeavors!

Enjoy,

Mike

Find me a good SS/CS car that won't break the bank and we will talk. LOL.

Would like to say thanks to all the Stock, SS and every other class that supported BME Photography again at the Rocky Mountain Nationals in 2011. We appreciate your business every year when we come out to cover the event for IHRA and provide photos to the all the drivers. We hope you liked your photos this year since we have been trying to go the extra mile in giving everyone something different than the normal shot this year. Thanks again, and we look forward to seeing everyone next year under better weather conditions!!
