What type of setup is used to hook up the wiring formerly used on a Blaster 2 coil to a Autozone C-839 ?
Also, I have a brand new MSD Pro Power coil p/n 8201 that I picked up a few years ago cheap. I've read it can't be used with a 6AL box. What is the reason it will not work with a 6AL?

Thanks

Thank you for the heads up on the blaster coil, I will be putting it on the shelf and trying the c-839 Autozone coil with my 6al box.

The TFI style coils don't heat soak and have solid output for any length of time of use. The coil for best effort for the MSD 6al2 boxes would be the MSD 8253 coil. When your trying to run an index or the same every pass then a drifting coil is not what you want. I hope this helps.
Pat, this is what I have used for a long time, (6al, blaster 2). Will this coil heat up fast enough to hurt performance just from driving thru pits and doing burnout? If so where would you see it(start to 8th or 8th to 1/4)??

Good morning, Yes that setup is a good match and will work fine. Next time if you need to replace the coil take a look at either a Autozone C-839 or Carquest FD-478. They are usually under $35 dollars and all you need to do is build a couple of Alum L brackets with some bolts & nylock nuts and your down the road. Either of these coils are great matches to the MSD box & you can't beat the price of admission!

Good afternoon, sorry for not returning the phone call we have been trying to fit 36 hours in a 24 hour sack down here. As for the cover, we use a product made by Super Glue called Liquid Rivets. I am guessing the glue had not finished setting before I packed it up. If you want to fix it yourself grab some super glue and run a bead around the flat surface of the case. Then take the cover and hold it there for a minute or so, you can then use a book or something some what heavy and flat to lay on top. If you give it overnight you should be good to go. If you want me to handle it just pack it up and I will take care of it. Have a good weekend and try to stay out of trouble.
Thank You Very Much. I will glue it. You guys are "GREAT"
