I just found this forum last week with exact same question! I read the threads and went out Saturday to try out the suggestions. I set the timer to come on at 0.3 and started at 1.0 sec and worked my way down to 0.412 to try and hit the number I wanted on track. The suggestion to do the 1-2 shift on time and the 2-3 shift manually was brilliant! The only thing I found was I had to be careful of was to ensure the 1-2 shift didn't occur after the stop came off. I had initially set the shift to happen at 0.8, but wound up moving it back to 0.1 ahead of the time it was coming off the stop. Now that I've had a day to think about it, I probably need to increase the RPM to get the timer back into the 1.5 second range so I have more room for timer adjustments. After a lifetime of footbrake bracket racing, this has given me a whole new appreciation of the super classes!
