I too plan to be there this year especially with Dons induction. I was lucky enough to be called upon to present Don into the North Carolina Drag Racing Hall of Fame. What an honor it was to present someone who was your Hero into such an event. I grew up around Don from the time I was 8 yrs. old till his tragic death. I had such a great childhood growing up around Don, and when he went to work and drive the #2 can at Sox & Martin I was able to tag along, man I miss those days and I miss Don every day. I look forward to seeing some old and some new friends. Satch Gragg

Two weeks away. This time, two weeks from now, I will be elbow deep in Drag Racing History. Every day now brings new and exciting information for the East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame Reunion. The thousands of classic, pre-76, cars, street rods and rat rods will be rolling in from the south end of town and the historic drag cars will be rolling in from the north, whether we drive em in, or tow em in it will be a site. For many of us, even though it was 40+ years ago, as these cars come in the memories will be like it was yesterday.

I will have some of the photo albums that I have from my brothers collection of old racing photos, come by and see if your old car is in some of these albums.

Did I forget to say that we will be burning some racing fuel and nitro beginning at about 1:30 pm in the cakkle fest. We will work our way up the street, beginning with the gassers continuing with SuperStock/ProStock and ending with nitro at the north end of the street.

I've already started the reunion. I spoke with a old friend last night, by phone, and we were talking about the old days at Kinston. Remember the old Gas and Modified Production race every year?

Heard yesterday, that Arlene Vanke is going to be back this year. Understand he had some health issues and was not sure he would be able to come.

I got it figured out.. swing south and race with us Friday night @ Roxboro for the Nostalgia race then head further southwest on to Rockingham Saturday. Then maybe back through Piedmont for the CCRA race on Sunday.. Looks like an exciting

Lew ,that same thing crossed my mind too.....But i think i am going to Henderson this time.And you should too...Lots and lots to see and do .and all the flash-back memories you want...........Hope i see you there..........
