hello cwood252, Chris, I own the 1969 Camaro that your looking for. I bought it from Scott Stillings in Jan 2007. I had heard that maybe it was originally owned by your grandfather and that Rampy had maybe drove it back then. The driveshaft yoke has Monty bogans name etched on it. My name is Doug Holder I live in San Dimas Cailif about 2 miles from Pomona dragstrip.

Smile Re: Looking for Howard Stanfield's 69 camaro

I remember Howard and I putting that car together in my shop. Howard was keeping it a secret from Greg.I thinkit was supposed to be a surprize birthday present. The only things I really remember about it was that it had a column shift so we took the steering colunm that came out of my old 69 nova and put it in.I also had an industrial duty round twist switch that I had cut a 1 inch hole in the instrument panel down by the windshield wiper switch to mount it. I think it was for the fuel pump but it's been so long ago I'm not sure. This was about 1982 or 1983. After we did all we were going to do to it Howard took it to the Career center where he taught and got it painted white. That's about all I remember of it except that him and Greg got it running quick pretty fast.
