Talking Re: '66-'67 Fairlane Stockers

Heres 3 of my all time favorites, ( I know, I know,, 2 are Superstockers).
Photo 1: Jim Waldo at Seattle in '85.
Photo 2: Jim Van Cleve sr. at Seattle in '80.
Photo 3: John Larson in a former Van Cleve sedan against Rick Johnston's 56 Chevy at Seattle in '80,,, I think Stephen and Horace know where this Fairlane is today!

This is my car just a couple months before dad bought it. That is John Cseh and Tony Rinero.

Didn`t John Cseh make it to the final at Indy in the late 70`s with that car? When was the last time your Fairlane has been raced? As I mentioned before, a buddy bought the S/Stock Wheel City exTony Rainero Fairlane sedan around that same time period. In your photo, I see the Fairlane at an enclosed car trailer, pretty high zoot for a Stocker in 1977!
As for other Fairlane Stockers, here in Div.6, James Quan from Alberta has several Ford Stock & S/S cars, including a green 67 Fairlane in E/SA with a 390. And although he has only had the car out once or twice, Rick Pike (56 Chev SS/NA ) also owns a SS/D 427 4speed 67 Fairlane.

I'm wondering too...could you get a 289-4bbl. in a '66/'67 Fairlane and has anybody tried it?

Would think that the 2bbl. is a waste of time...

Thumbs up Re: '66-'67 Fairlane Stockers

I wish I had one too (especially the body style of John Coopers, and Neal Rhodes), because those (as well as '70-'72 Ford Mavericks), were my favorite Fords! I don't remember the specific year, but in the early to mid 2k's, Neal Rhodes won the Mopar Mile High Natls., with his as well...
