Put them all back to OEM spec. If you can't buy a plate for it, its a super stocker.

Is this a return to originality? If so...better hold on to your Powerglides...early guys...your 3-speed stick trans...

and Randall...your White Cast Four Barrells!

I don't want to get into a discussion as to whether these particular items are bogus or not,
but I have a feeling this is not the end of this discussion.
You would think NHRA would know that you can't just add parts or classes ,and then take them away, causing a monetary setback for a group of racers.
You would think they would know something about legal precedent by now.
I think this is a dangerous road for NHRA to go down, that could have repercussions towards other non-assembly line parts...or whole cars , for that matter.

Well said Mark!
Especially if the data was submitted by the manufacturer and not a racer.

here's something to throw out there...HAS anybody ran the R4B w/casting numbers (not cheap...welll, maybe NOW they are) and 780 holley on anything yet?

'nuther one, has anybody ran a Quickfuel "gage" carb yet? legal (or at least was) replacement?

Have they been pulled from the engine specs yet FOR OTHER MAKES AND MODELS?

so far this has cost me a grand and i haven't been to the track yet....oh well ,where's my shoe polish at?

anybody think this'll get overturned, i got some amc stock for ya...

This has been going on for 5-6 years, The first time i saw a 1969 AMX 290 CI with a 780 Holley carb in Super Stock I knew that was not correct. Also the HP on the 290-390 engines have been reduced by a whopping 20 hp. I also know that the 68-69 combos had AFB carb and the others I think were motorcraft. Many years ago when I raced a 69 390 AMX it ran ok with a AFB but it would fly with a 780 Holley.
