My car is just a bracket car but I have been using the same E3 plugs for 3 years and they still look like new. About 250 passes so far. The car starts easy even when the battery's are low. I like them. I will run them in my stocker when its done.

Run E3s, in all my street cars. Gas economy and power both improved, love them. Haven't used them in a race engine yet. Only concern about using them in a race engine is haven't seen a wide range of heat ranges.

Wouldn't the OEM's use them if they provided better MPG, and I would guess that they would burn cleaner also?

It all boils down to cost. Couple million plugs adds to the price of each car. Little here little there you start talking big money overall

Look at aircraft plugs. This is nothing new. IMO it is just good marketing in the automotive world, even though there are some engines that come OE with them.....Probably to help meet 100,000 mile EPA and closed hood mandates.

Both the turbo charged 360 lycoming in my Commander and the N/A 300 Continental in my 172 use double ground strap plugs. Safety factor as much as anything. They are produced by AC, Champion, and Autolite and now Tempest offers them for aircraft. OH, they are also offered in a Fine Wire iridum electrode.
