Re: 97 mustang 3.8
Thanks for the reply guys, Jimmy what gear ratio did you have in mind for the 7.5 looking at 9.0/28.0 for rear tire and also the 2.75 or 2.92 first gear with the C-4. Tire is the radial. Now trying to figure out the ECU piggyback for the injection. I have pretty much got what I want for. the motor combo and suspension. Am I right that I need to tie frames and don't need a rollbar or has that changed?

Re: 97 mustang 3.8
Larry I am not a good person to ask, many others on this site have much more expertise than myself. Having said that, I do like the idea of this build, with the7.5 you are limited to 456 gears. Tires I like the idea of using 8-5 26 15 m.t. On the tranny , the more 1st gear to get off the line the better. Like you lots of parts from BBK makes this interesting. Jimmy

Re: 97 mustang 3.8
I would use the 8.8, the lightest spool you can find, and then gear it for a real radial slick.
It should run in the 12's and handle all that okay.
