Travis, how about we run Jr. Stock at the Cajuns next year. Somewhere around G or H weight factor. It's been a while since those guys got a shot at some heads up stuff.

Jeff, they have been running Jr. Stock at some of the opens here in the Northeast. I forget which weight. Some of the folks who post here (Dave Casey and Evan Smith for example) run it and would know. But it's really fun. Last year when Evan Smith ran Jim Marshall at the Dutch, both pulled huge wheelstands. Great to watch and missing it at the Dutch is just one more reason i'm bummed I won't be there!

FJ,
I always looked forward to seeing you at Suffolk. I also enjoyed seeing your first Olds. I thought I had a picture of it taken at Suffolk but I can't find it. You were parked close to Ronnie Traffanstedt's Corvette. I do have a picture of it with D.J. Oprey driving. If you would like a copy, email me at bobrice@coastalnet.com.

Hey,, For what its worth guys (and gals) if you're sitting on a collection of old photographs ( most of us have had a lifetime to put them together), you might as well send them into Bob. I sent him a box of about 250 pictures, mostly taken by me in days gone by and he posted them on the web. Yes, I got them all back in a timely manner, and as you can see, that album and others are posted on this thread on the previous page courtesy of Bob doing his "magic". Its going to be a long off season, so get the photos sent to Bob so we can all enjoy them. Theres nothing like taking a trip back in time because each of us took a moment way back when to throw a camera up and freeze the moment. My 2 cents.............Danny Durham
How was that, Bob?

Wow: first picture from Bob Rices collection sure brought back memories. I raced the Terry Clark A/S Chevelle -prepared by Duffys at the 1968 Super stock Nationals at Long Island N.Y.We met for the class final on Friday night and i was lucky enough to win the race. I came from near Akron Ohio to run in one of the finest stock and super stock programs (excluding the US Nat.) in the country. My car was a new 68 SS 396-375. It ran a best of 11.88 at 116mph. Not bad for the B140 7" M&H slicks at that time. The car was great until i met up with Tom Shumacher in the divisional meet in Columbus. Still looking for pictures of his 427-410???yeah right-- Ford Fairlane. All i saw were the taillights. They say a picture is worth a thousand words but the pictures that are on this page are priceless. Thanks for sharing your collection.

Danny,
Thanks for the pitch. I hope that someone will take you up on it. I'm on the hunt every day trying to find old pictures to share with guys like you and me that love the old cars.
Bob

Mike,
It's the guys like Danny Durham, George Cureton, Bill Holmes and Bill Dedman that should be thanked. I've known George since 1976 but Danny, Mr. Holmes or Mr. Dedman didn't know me from Adam and took a chance and sent me their pictures to scan and gave me permission to post them online so that everyone could enjoy them. I'm hoping that others will take that same chance. Also, I belong to a Stk/SS group on Yahoo where a lot of great old pictures are posted. Anyone interested in joining can email me at bobrice@coastalnet.com.
