The way I see it, the NHRA has shown the former IHRA specific classes about as much love as they intend to share. Future growth, if indeed the Stock/SS category is perceived to be one with enduring popularity, will be found in the late model entries and corresponding updates to the list of eligible combinations in the Guide.

As long as the NHRA is willing to provide events for me to participate in, I will do my best to attend as many as time and money allow.
The NHRA is in business to make money. As such, what the future holds for us, is anyone's guess.
I do know that a late model Stocker is not in my budget.

Thank you all; including Too Tall! We ran a stock car for 3 seasons before returning to stock eliminator. We got spoiled running a crate engine; if it was not for the crate class, there probably would not be any stock car racing in Ontario. They are cheap to buy, bullet proof (at 6200 rpm limit) & last forever. Built engines are getting rare. Now mind you, ours are sealed. Thank God for CanAm! I was at the first one at St. Thomas in 1991; it was a blast!
