Someone offered me a ride a few years ago and it brought me out of retirement. I wasn't in too different of a position than the OP. You act like this is a foreign concept.

I'm sure anyone would let you drive their car, if you can come up with the $30-40K insurance deposit. If someone doesn't have the cash available then they shouldn't be playing in this game. Plus there's little to no $$$ return in the NHRA game any longer. You would be best to borrow someones 11-12 second bracket car and hit the SFG races.

Just make sure you have your MSD GRID setup appropriately, so you can run the SAME number in all types of weather conditions. LOL

If I had an extra car available I would let Justin drive it in a minute. I believe the car he was driving had a mechanical failure, nothing to do with his driving. If I didn't have faith in someone's ability I wouldn't offer the ride. End of rant.

Surely Bertozzi has another car laying around....but seriously, hope you find a ride, you’ve proven yourself as a good driver.

I agree 100% Lee, the post about the accident was in very poor taste, I was pitted next to them and that was NOT driver error.

I do have a spare car which would be super fun to watch him torture the field with, the Gremlin, not so sure he can fit in it though......Billy Pires, certainly would fit, not sure if Justin could.

Not aware of the incident that happened. But I had offered Justin my stocker a few years back when he was trying to get to Vegas. Logistically it didn't work out but the bit I've conversed with him during that time and the couple times after he's always been a stand up guy to me. He's certainly someone I wouldn't hesitate to put into my car. It's racing sometimes things happen that are totally out of someones control. If you aren't comfortable putting someone in a car then don't. If I lived out east Justin I'd gladly loan you my slug of a stocker.

Justin can drive my car anytime if I wasn't. He could do a better job too, unfortunately.

Ray,

You have now taken this to a whole different level. You are questioning my character and my integrity. Ask anybody that really knows me (unlike you) and they will tell you that I always do the right thing even when no one is looking. That is the definition of integrity. You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but you are clearly in the minority. You are not the car owner or driver involved in the situation. So, do yourself a favor, and keep your mouth shut and your fingers off of the keyboard in regards to situations that don’t directly involve you.
