Rd 1 of Stock and S/S went off easily - Barsamian won his heads-up .That said there were a few redlights but nothing like last week at the grove. And just for the record the Taxi was one of those who went red.Have pics but with a big crowd in the stands I can't download.

And OMG is it fast -this AM 30.01 barometer with a 450 ' DA .

From NHRA TV the car came up and drove to the right, came down in the concrete near the 60 foot mark, seemed like just a bad place on the track to be to correct it as it was on bare concrete, went completely left into the wall and spun around. Really stinks to see these cars get tossed up.

Michael Iacono has organized a Go Fund me to help Pat out with repairs

Yes it move hard to the tree and I turn the wheel hard and spun it around. At the same time looking at the data log look like I hit the throttle for a split sec.
First I have to say thanks to everyone that reach out over the last few days. I know that the racing community was strong but it still overwhelmed by the support.
As most of you know I was involved in a crash this Fri up at epping national event. I have to give a shout out to Pro 1 Racing & Safety Products the seat belts did their job and I did not move in the car and walk away without a scratch and 2 days later still not sore.
Again thanks to everyone

Congrats DJ and Joe on your wins

Some side notes from the event

Got there weds at noon, #75 in line , beautiful day , did some bench racing, and made sure that I congratulated Bruce and Sharron Riley on the win at Cayuga.

They started moving us in thurs am about 45 mins early because of the rain in the forecast. By the time I headed in it was a steady rain. Got parked and it turned nice about 3 pm.

Chamber of commerce days for the rest of the weekend, it was good conditions, but not Atco in the fall or spring, after my first Q , it was 80 in my trailer. Had some cross head wind at times too. The traction for my stick car was the best ever at a national event for me. The only time I spun was when they stopped and dusted and sprayed as I sat in the water. That has always been death to my stick car, but auto cars seem to like it.

Bob Broadbent stood it up for the wheelstand of the event, one of those long powering ones, the announcer went wild and the fans got a treat. Of course Bob shifted right thru it and made a great pass.

Marc LaBrecque received the best appearing award, made a very nice speech in front of the crowd. Look at his truck, pictures just don't show the quality, and Marc is good at keeping things looking top notch.

Congrats to the winners
