My goal is to drive a pump gas gasoline engine four wheel drive powered street car to the bracket races that runs 9.00 at just under 150mph without doing a burnout, or towing it to the dragway, and not having any of the BS safety equipment rules you all have to abide by.

The NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) changed its street legal rules for cars built in 2014 and newer, allowing them to run as fast as 150 mph and as quick as 9 seconds in a quarter mile without a roll cage or roll bar. This change is due to the increasing safety and speed of production cars.

1. Get the car put back together and running. Am having the engine and trans refreshed.
2. Get my reaction times more consistent. I know it is me and not the car. I am fairly new to Stock and bought a proven car, it has got a lot of class winner stickers and won a division championship a few years ago.
3. Have fun. Winning rounds is always great, but I have just as much fun at a TnT session. I am mostly competing against myself to get better and run quicker times. I ran my best time ever in the car in Sept and was dancing in the pits after. I will take little victories like that all day, every day.
4. Continue to make more drag racing friends. IMO, this alone is the biggest value in going to the tracks every weekend. I do not need to win the "big checks" and trophies to have a great time. The folks I have met have taught me a ton, and helped me out without hesitation when I've needed it. I hope to some day help out others as I have been helped.

Race more than just one weekend with the Firebird (Spring Fling Million) and figure out what to do with the Skyhawk. Two big hail storms two days in a row a couple years back pretty much ruined the exterior.

Get my POS as it’s been called back race ready. You can win a lot of rounds in a well put together POS.

Chad, would that have been with Joe Threatts 71/72 Mustang 351C car? I remember reading a story about you and that car in Hot Rod or Car Craft many years ago, and thinking how cool that was.
