Many of the guys up my way {Northern Westchester County and Putnam County} in New York hit;

* Englishtown
* Island
* Maple Grove
* Lebanon Valley

Those '4' were the primary tracks back between 1976 and 1981.

Not so much at New York National Speedway and WestHampton Dragstrip out on Long Island,
as the traffic was a nightmare on the L.I.E. and Sunrise Highway on Sundays.

I have more information on the Lieto Dart, but I don't want to go in depth here.

Doesn't look like an LO car. Rear Wheel well cut out looks wrong. Wrong hood scoop also. Fender well headers???= wedge

I didn't get a chance to look at it close-up in the pits to see what was under the hood nor the 'custom' two-scoop (oddity) if it still had it. My only recollection is a behind-the-starting-line view and that it had a 4-speed and broke something in its drivetrain off the line. Maybe it was a different Dodge Dart...who knows. What we now know is that the two-scoop Lido (aka Lieto) car is not Daryl's car.

One more thing: does anyone know the whereabouts of Tim Hennessey? If so, my suggestion is he should be made aware of this (very long) thread and put his two-cents in.

I've spoke with Hennessey many times about my car & invited him to this thread. He's not interested
