Just a quick update to let everyone know that Vanderbilt just called and put Gale's surgery off til next Tues. She said something bad happened today and their OR's and ER's were full with scheduled surgeries backing up. We were all psyched up for tomorrow but guess everything happens for the best! Will keep you posted. Carol

I think it may have been due to a 3 vehicle wreck that killed two and injured several. Word is some victims were medivaced by helicopter, probably to Vanderbilt.

I just got off the phone with Carol and Gale came through surgery great. He was starting to wake up and was in intensive care at Vanderbilt hospital. She said he would be in intensive care through tomorrow and should be able to go home this weekend. Great news.
