Yes, the new CJ is modern technology, not the antiques most everyone else runs. Also doesn't everyone's stocker/superstocker make more horsepower than their factored hp.? Maybe we should start dynoing current record holders, and adjust factored hp. accordingly. Nearly every make has combinations that have bogus numbers. If the new CJ is so fast and that much better, go buy one! Just my 2 cents worth.

Both or all combo's that run in these classes in race trim would NOT come within a 100HP of the CJ'S Sure a good 427/425 chevy will produce over 600 hp but this new CJ will (before its all done) top 800 hp IMO |

You must have a lot more money laying around than I do. Wouldn't it be a lot more expeditious (not so say thousands of dollars cheaper) to just adjust the HP factor to a reasonable figure? Those Mustangs run about 140 mph..... nobody else I know of can do that, so it stands to reason that they're under-factored to a considerable degree. What's wrong with fixing that?

There have been a few of them for sale already. I've seen a couple on E-bay. The sellers were looking for a considerable profit.
I am relatively certain that when they start turning up the wick as you guys fear you will see a lot of the CJ's driving over the crankshafts. Boost has a way of doing that. |

If they can run 140 mph with the current setup, why would they bother to turn up the wick?
Seems counterproductive to me....
