There was an article on a U/SA 273 Mopar Wagon in Mopar Action magazine a couple of years back, it said that the 273s could run the late EFI -pre Magnum 318 "302" castings as a supercede number. Heart shaped chambers, swirl ports etc etc. Pretty good heads but they still have the little 273/318 port size. I'm thinking velocity is important with them, Perhaps these are the heads Matt runs?

We must also remember that the carb is a tiny little AFB about the size of your fist...

Can we correctly assume this car is the quickest and fastest 273 ever....in ANY configuration?

Brett, I would think you could safely say that! This car is unbelievable! Most 340 cars at the same weight couldn't touch this car. You should do an article on this one!

BTW How the hell are you? I haven't seen you in years! Jim

The car is a well done piece! And trust me, Matt leaves at more the 8000, more like 9000+ rpm!

Al
Is Matt any relation to Ron Steen? Ron raced a '66 Belvedere I ASA out of Minot ND in '66 and '67.He then drove a SSBA '68 Hemi Cuda with Steve Solveit in the late 60s.

Thanks
Dennis

In the forum on the A-Body site Matt said he has the 302 heads on his car now.
