Anyone notice that the D7 points race has Nitro Harley attending? Bettery yet, Nitro Harley has 4 qualifying runs scheduled. Meanwhile, Stock & Super Stock have 2 qual runs scheduled. This is according to the schedule posted on the D7 website.
I have been told in the past by the division director, that the reason for only 2 qual runs, is that there are 800+ cars that attend this race and have to be fair to everyone. Let's see 4 qual runs for a category that has nothing to do with a division race and only 2 for categories that do. Yeah, I see how that is fair! Just another reason why I won't support this race, which is in my division.

Need gate to pay the Alcohol purse? Just speculating here but Nitro Harley will make a bigger draw than dedicated "real" racers; it is Vegas after all.

I will bet that NH 4 qualifying runs and eliminations won't use as much time as 1 round of S/SS qualifying!

You're missing the point. This is supposed to be a points race for the D7 sportsman racers, so give less to the invited guests and not take away from the D7 racers.

Brett,
You're missing the point too. The track needs these deals to help the bottom line. Racing is not a charity and if the track can't make money how many racetracks will be left. Think about the overhead at that place. Chip |

Just like the "Sleds" at the Dutch this year. Why fight it. It's all turning into a circus anyway. The class car's don't count for anything anymore. The stock and S/S car's are to much trouble for NHRA to keep around and their usefulness has run it's course. It's all about a circus show and the bottom line.

They've added another run to the schedule for Stock and Super Stock. We will get two runs today. They haven't put out a schedule for Saturday yet, but the word is we will get another qualifier tomorrow before first round. -Toby |

Well in case you haven't noticed the fans get up and leave when the "Remote controlled cars" come up but they still get plenty of runs in, and sit and listen to the fans they love the Class Cars, it's cars they can relate to.I know it's the bottom line, but why can't NHRA be fair about it and stop treating class cars like they are a problem rather than a benifit that they are. Beside who caused all of the delays last weekend at Vegas Nationals ? Also the fact that many of the Top catagory racers started out in Class Cars !! just my view as a racer and sometimes spectator ! but as they say , it's all good ................
