Are there any other companies who are going to write out contingency checks at the conclusion of eliminations? If Gumout is really doing it, that's fantastic.

Input on new marketing is helpful, but cut the guy a (brake). I remember when the Winston girls gave out free smokes and I was only 14. There is very little of that now. Let's not be so quickto throw rocks at the person. 203w, I will say that putting a real name out there is well received. As far as grammar and spelling is concerned. Why is it that everyone becomes a gosh darn English teacher on these forums! I type on my tablet touch screen and have a hard enough time typing anything. I sure as heck don't think that spelling and grammar is mission critical with most of these posts. LOL.

Obviously this is something that I immediately did, but a realize that a $200 "buy in" is a little steep for guys that don't race much or feel they don't have a realistic chance of winning. The person that put this together is Kip, who I think everyone knows as a long time midway rep who has the K&N display trailer. Kip is a friend to all sportsman racers, and he worked hard to get Gumout involved. How many new companies have become involved lately? Not many that I know of. And the paying directly at the track? Haven't seen that since Goob did it with Valvoline or Woody did it with Jegs years ago.
When Kip called me about this over the winter, I told him I thought the price point for the average racer's comfort level was probably $100. I guess the Gumout brass felt they needed to make it $200 for it to work for them. Do I think they could have sold more $5 hamburgers than $10 ones, yes I do, but apparently they didn't. I guess all I'm saying is that its not a waste of $200. You're getting product for your money. Yes, maybe more carb cleaner than you need for a season, but I don't think it goes bad on the shelf, and as mentioned, you can always sell one or two off to a buddy. The good old days are gone everyone, there's no more money for nothing and chicks for free. |

If they pay for Divisionals and include their whole product line (including DEF) then I'd buy in.

Thank you for your help with sportsman racing. I haven't purchased a gum out product in years. When I saw they were sponsoring a Pritchett's top fuel ride, I went to there website. They have a cool setup for DEF. That led to a purchase of their product. The paying at the track is a GREAT idea. You will have a lot more support.
