Just doing some math on the worst case scenario lets say 300 vehicles with trailers an average of 70 feet of space between their length and the space between them and the next vehicle that's 21,000 feet or just about 4 miles. I think that would put the line up over the Green River Bridge.
On Sunday in 2013 I was in line as a spectator on Hwy 18 at least 4 miles from the track at 7 AM.

I'd like to go up on Thursday just to watch tech, but I don't know if they would let a non racer in. Anyone know?

Dale come on in you're not required to have a credential until Friday.

Holding pen opens at 7AM Wednesday. Parking in pits starts at 10 AM same day this really shouldn't be that big of a deal.

If a line starts forming early the fuzz will ask that you leave and come back when they open.

You make a good point Jody. With a 3 hour spread between opening the gate and pit parking starting should help a little. I am sure everyone wants the great spot so will want a low number for parking, if that is the way it is done. Anyway, I hope this deal goes well, but I just envision a snarl / snag somewhere.

Side note, Please say Hi to Martha for me. Good luck to all the locals and hope you send the out-of-towners packing. I want to see Div. 6 win every class possible.

I probably won't be at the Nationals, but plan to be at the Combo on the 15th and the Divisional a week later. Go get 'em boys and girls.

C'mon Ron,,, at least make it up there on Friday for qualifying! Whats it going to take for you to go up there,, especially as dedicated as you are to Stock/Superstock?
Its the best show of the year up here annually, and you know it,,, don't miss it!
Call me if you have to,, you've got the number.

I was at the track today about 1:30 and saw this sign posted on 304th.

NO NHRA RACER
STACKING UNTIL
WEDNESDAY 7 a.m.

The track photographer Jim Doyle was leaving as I drove up and we visited for about half an hour. Lots of different opinions about the impact of this new situation. Last year guys and gals could get in on Tuesday, before then it had been on Monday.

I see the local police/king county sheriff getting involved if traffic backs up onto Highway 18. It shouldn't happen but you never know. Good luck to all on Wednesday and hope all goes as good as possible. I will probably go back out tomorrow to see if there is anything different.

Ron: If I understand things right, moving the race one week later to avoid Seafair brought in a conflict with a scheduled "quiet day" in the use agreement that prohibits camping on Monday and Tuesday of this week. Thus the No Stacking Until Wednesday thing. Racers will adapt and this will blow over.

I'm going up Thursday to look at Tech and will post some pics now that my computer is happy with me. If they question me, I'm going to tell them Jody Lang invited me.

First off, let me say Thanks to Bill Edgeworth for starting this thread. It looks like the word has gotten out to everyone concerned.

I was there again today for about an hour. Saw Jim Doyle again and talked to some of the local track staff and saw NO ONE trying to enter the facilities, other than NHRA Safety Safari rigs, venders and other deliveries.

Only 1 Pro rig was there when I left. V. Gaines's rig was there and open to see inside (pretty cool). He had hurt an engine at Sonoma so they were waiting for someone to come pick it up. Saw one of the street vehicles from Morgan Lucas Racing. The upper pits were empty and only the NHRA Merchandise tent was up at this time.

The stacking lot opens at 7 a.m. tomorrow and parking will begin at 10 a.m. The local staff anticipates no real problems, if everyone cooperates. With no Pro rigs there yet, could be quite busy tomorrow morning. Not sure how late the track will be open today for entry of Pro rigs.

Guess I was completely wrong about how bad this would be. Got here at 7:10 AM and in the stacking lot #48 at 7:20 easy deal.
