Need some advice for installing an 8.75 in a 79 Aspen. Would a B body rear end be the closest fit for width? Currently has an 8.25. Thanks, Craig.

What kind of power and which class are you setting up for? Early B Body is close but you still have to offset springs and/or move the pads. If you’re going with a lot of power and/or trans brake go directly to a Dana.

68 to 70 B body is the one you need.

I put an 8 3/4 from a 71 Charger in a 76 Volare, the locating pins were less than an inch off, I elongated the shock plates with my die grinder, it was almost a bolt in.
