I guess the pendulum has swung in the opposite direction in the last 10-15 years. Over the years I'd noticed there were enough teams ( drivers ) that didn't? In other words , at one time the "drivers" WERE the engine builders.
Probably stems more from my lack of interest in Pro Stock now , a class I once "loved" ........

I, also, don't have anywhere near the interest as I once did. I have followed and have many books on Pro Stock on the subject. At one time (70's) Pro Stocks ran at Divisional races and were very plentiful. I believe at one time there were 36 Pro Stocks just in Division 6 alone. That number might be off 1 or 2.

The Dragzine Newsletter has a more detailed story on the FS1 Pro Stock show for those that are interested. For the life of me, I can't understand why drag race fans *itch about what little TV coverage that we do get. This is a big step in the right direction to help Pro Stock.

Hopefully they do something similar for FS/XX too, then I can spend time watching the classes I am most interested in.

Thanks, Ron

Really? You think screwing the Pro Stock racers and their sponsors out of actual race day coverage will HELP them?

It may not be a big deal to some, but I had the chance to see Erica Enders wrenching the spark plugs on her car at Pomona last month, so props to her for blending perfume with 30wt oil (so to speak)!

But I thought this was to get the fringe casual viewer interested? If they tune in on the scheduled time and aren't interested in basketball they're going to say F this and not watch at all!

I'm pretty sure the coverage they were getting ON raceday wasn't helping much.
