Back in the day...

We remember bumping heads with a lot of people trying to be the last one who lowered the record...

Wish we could go....

Just sayin'

Sacramento Mather (MHR) airport is located less than 2 miles north the race track. The airport elevation on Sky Vector charts is listed as 98 feet elevation..
My Google Pro, on this computer, just now shows the runway 4L-22R as 95-98 ft elevation end to end.
The Google Earth Pro is still showing the track starting line to finish line 104-105 feet with the far end of the shut down at 125 ft elevation.
I got that info off the net that is what all the sites say that it is about 78 ft DA and the GPS is not as accurate up and down as it is at ground level me personally I have no idea if that is correct but I wondered about that thinking in a plane landing it better be a lot more accurate. I was really interested in the quality of the track surface and prep, My Copo like all supercharged Copos have a tough time getting down the track with a small tire and running in the 7s. It is always borderline and it is no fun looking at the racepack after each run and thinking how close you were to losing it down track. Super stock lets us run 250 lbs less then in showdown that changes everything. I have not been there in over 20 years I am looking forward to going back.
