Could it be Jack and Bobby in the final? Watch out for Jimmy.

Lots of red-lights in stock this morning! DRC has all those results. Mike Cotton beat Dan Zrust first round. Dan was #14 alternate, I think. Lots of the hemi cars were no shows. Helms beat Little Joe Teuton 1st round. I took some videos and pictures, but I have killed all my batteries, so I am re-charging now.

Sorry about not posting much yesterday! As Larry said, we spent all afternoon at Urgent Care getting his thumb seen about. He had a little sliver of metal in it and it had healed over without coming out. Then he bumped it and hurt it at Bowling Green last weekend. It kept getting worse all week, and he finally decided to see about it yesterday after we were finished racing. They cut it open and drained it and tried to find the sliver, but couldn't. At least the infection is drained and feeling lots better.
While we were gone, a big storm came up and our awning tried to blow away. Thanks to Mike and Paula and Roz and Rick Gresens for holding it down until we got back. Obviously our automatic sensor has quit working! We then sat under the Cotten's awning while the storm passed thru. Here is Mike trying to get some of the water off his awning: ![]() |

I got bounced because the one intake port they poured was anywhere from 210.3 to 210.8, depending on who was checking it. The max is 210. We knew they were close but didn't think it would be a problem.
The heads we are allowed to use are CNC'd from Chrysler/Arrow. The set we got had a good amount of core shift so I'm assuming that is why they were so close to the edge. The roof of the ports didn't clean up when they were CNC'd causing them to be larger. Chrysler is investigating the situation to see just how big some of the heads really are. They will most likely change the port volume specs to cover any other sets that may be just as big, or even larger. Moving forward we are very excited to run this new 426 combination. it's showing us some promising numbers. |
