Eric,
He was interviewed on the NHRA Qualifying show and he said that he was "Grateful that NHRA allowed him to race this weekend. Most of the times the sportsman racers have to run Divisional and Local races to earn points to race these National Events but, the guys at NHRA waved that for me and allowed me to enter the race" Rob Keister |

Look at the bright side, at least Super Gas got some "ink" during prime-time. If the field were full and he was allowed to "bypass the system", I wouldn't have agreed but.... with 13 spots still open, why not? ....just my $.02's worth.
