Chad,
Nice choices. A 67' Chevy II with a 302. Would have been a nice B/Stocker in 67' pc |

Todd,
Always thought that would have been a 'Killer Car' for 1970. Should have been produced, maybe in a limited amount. Of course with the functional 'Shaker-Hood" or even a functional Ram-Air 'Grabber-style hood (ie; 1972 circa). Would have been interesting to see that car run, at about 550 lbs. less than the 'bulky' Boss 302 (#3328 lbs.). The Boss 302's never scared anybody in H/S and I/S. With the lighter weight, the 70' Boss 302 Maverick would have fit nicely into F/S. 'On sale at your local Ford dealer! Last edited by Paul Ceasrine; 07-27-2010 at 04:11 PM. |

I've always loved those 66 Nova SS cars,,,,,certainly miss the one I had 35 years ago,,so I guess I'd have ask for a L-78 396 version and of course a L-72 427. The front ends were pretty weak on those cars, so you'd have to beef them up and it would've been a good idea to go to a multi leaf out back also,,,,,Hmmmm,,when were the first spools introduced anyway? I remember snapping a Summers Brothers axle in mine one night, and that was with a 331, Super T-10 and a Moroso Brute Strength posi with 5:57s and Lakewood traction bars. That axle is still a family heirloom to this day. Car is long gone, sadly.

WJ,
Liked the thought of a 62' Vette, with a 302 dual-quad First year for the 327. Maybe convert the engine to the early style Hot-Rodder 302. 327 block small journal with the 283 crank. 11.0-1 pistons, Fuelie 2.02 heads, .485 solid lifter cam In-line dual-quad like the 61' 283/270HP, but with 500cfm Carter AFB's. A High-reving screamer. 302/340HP. It would put that car in A/S, 1962 thru 1965. PC |
