One solution to oildowns and live TV take a track like Z-Max 4 wide, only run 2 cars at a time. if a lane is oildowned just switch one car to another lane while the clean up is being done? Of couse not have anybody on track cleaning while cars go by. Go to 1/4 mile again.

Nothing personal, but the .90 classes with throttlestops looks confusing and stupid.

How can NHRA not showcase Factory Stock or Super Stock! Give it some TV time. 8 second stockers running against my 11 second (I hope) Impala quite honestly makes no sense either. Should be it's own eliminator sponsored by the Big 3 ?

At least the new Fox package has sportsman coverage Hope its not like the ESPN and get 5 mins of sportsman

Mike, you are correct they did it quicker years ago. Speaking with a track manager I know, we were discussing this subject during a oildown.
There are 3 Major changes that have significantly slowed it down: 1 Synthetic oil, much harder to clean up, 2 Concrete sidewalls, cannot blow the absorbent into the grass, 3 Racers need for more traction compound on track (harder to clean oil off, and then have to reapply
