To figure out the starting line.
To figure out the finish line. To make the car faster. To win a couple races. To figure out women. |

Our main goal is to keep my wife and Crew Chief, Linda, healthy. If we can do that then we have 13 Nationals,13 Divisionals and 2 National Opens. This will be our first trip to Phoenix,Pomona and Las Vegas. We both turn 71 this year so hopefully we can win another Wally. But most of all we will keep the drama out and keep making memories. It'll be nice to see our Division 4 and 5 friends again and make a few more in Division 6,maybe we will make it to Division 7.My wife is battling breast cancer for the 3rd time and Dragracing has been great theropy for her. If we win nothing, we will still be very happy with what God has provided for us being together.

Drive like I know I can, better lights and more round wins. Hope to see Kyle and Beau continue to improve and get more comfortable in the cars, the boys doing well is my top goal. John

Same as last year... Just get back into a hotrod and race. Supposed to happen 2024 and life got in the way, (my own fault). Looks like it will happen in 2025.

Cut some lights and win some rounds. I had a good season going last year but the weather here in Florida caused me to miss the last couple of races this year. Had a chance at a division top ten and missed out on that. Maybe I can keep that going.

I purchased a 1979 AMC spirit stock eliminator car at the end of last season and have just finished going through it.
My goal is to race the stocker and learn what I can this year. Then work our daughter in to it next year as she graduates out of Jr Street racing. I have raced for years in NSS and brackets, plus followed class racing. Goals: Learn Get beat Learn again ![]() |

1. Finish the 3 major upgrades I am in process on (all 3 are a day or 2 from completion). It will make it faster, and bring the lights back to where they belong. (Looking forward to Winter 2025 for a couple more upgrades). Manual brake conversion, converter loosened, transaxle refresh).
Update as of the 11th...2 of 3 updates fully completed, and the 3rd 1 is the biggie, yesterday after initially finally getting the Holley Term. X initial install completed and the ignition finished and finally spark, the car fired for the first time (thanks specially goes out to both Greg Hogue - wiring, and Robin Lawrence for WBO2 parts and pcs and advice on getting that hooked up and ironed out), and I still have work to do, and bugs to iron out and tons new to learn to be tap, tap keyboard tuning it has been a long grueling tough but great experience to terminate and wire it myself and finally even it has not yet actually reached idle status yet, to at least hear it fire off a few times yesterday! I still have 13 days to get things fully ironed out before the 1st Test N Tune date on the 24th. Goal 1-Check,: Goal 2-Check,; Goal 3- Fire In The Hole(s), and now to get it to just light and stay lit! (First up test the functions and review connections and just go back over everything to find out why the fuel pump primes with every key on, but why I have not yet heard the fuel pump come back on after it fires and dies. 1 step at a time. Sounds healthy though went it lights off. Update 2 after a lot of diagnostic and connection checking, and going through all the long drawn out Fire Up checklist I learned everything is great...Except you cannot run a Terminator X on a Low Impedance Injector...Holley order placed. Goal 3 is in the bag...It ran! The car is almost race ready to work on accomplishing those below. 2. Get out and test early, get educated and used to the new Holley EFI system as fast as possible. 3. Get back to good consistent green lights. 4. Attend as many races as I filled out in the 2025 calendar (including my first Fling), travel a bunch more than the past 2 seasons. 5. Turn on as many (or more), win lights as I did the last 5 racing day of 2024, and the rest will take care of itself. More seat time is key. 6. Just continue to have fun racing again win or lose! Time at the track is about having fun with friends. Crewing for Scott McClay more is a bonus on his Comp entry.
