This is my first attempt at a Super/Stock race program. I have done some Super/Gas racing back in 95-99. Now under construction is a 60 Corvette that I want to start off as a tradititional "L" car. A small tire 10.5 car with the baby motor and a glide. I can allways go GT if that don't work out. Really wanted to go Stock, but could not get a 9" tire under the car. Not to mention, aluminum seats make additional room for large drivers over stock seats (about 6" more steering wheel to gut room is sweet). Anyway, looking for a late spring, early summer start depending on an engine program. I am getting counseling from a few veterans that I have done work for in the past i.e. Bob Cupp and Norman Hall. I'm already practicing the ole head spin, look thru the rear window and see where he is move. I do have a nice disc brake package for those bringing 40 MPHs down on me. Really looking foward to the flat hood thing!

Almost like an epidemic lol. Actually isn't it more than that? Tom G's AMX, Bob Salemis Commanche, Mikes Spirit, your Gremlin and now this Rebel. Of course you can't forget the two AMX's Aris has been running either. Next thing you know someone will dig out a Pacer or bug eyed Matador lol.

Class was where we caught up on sleep LOL. Cool cars and hot chicks were the only subjects that mattered in those days.

Terry, The car is coming together nicely. Do you have any ideas on a good 283 man locally? Just like the 27 Roadster I raced back in the 90s, this car is being built to be street friendly in its retirement LOL. I would like to keep in touch with you for tech assistance, as I respect your knowledge and experence if thats OK? I'm the kind of guy that has a hard time parting with good memories. That is why I'm building this car for serious competition (and hopefully another "best engineered award"), but as every piece is fabricated I do consider how it would effect streetability down the road. I do have fun with my cars on the race track and on the street. I love the competition of racing and I love the people in racing. However, if racing ever folds up (heaven forbid), I will enjoy this car on the street without missing a beat! Here is an example of my Roadster as a racer and then as a retired street rod, complete with a SBC and a 5-speed stick. And yes it is alot of FUN!!!!!
