I know my posts often get really long. For those that don't want to weed through the rest of this post, the short version is, "LMAO @ smokey!"

>> Adger, my apologies to you.

Very big of you. I'm admittedly surprised to see you take some level of accountability for your personal attacks on others.

>> You, Michael Beard, on the other hand are a sand lot racer (read ihra).

FYI, I am a past NHRA Div. 1 Heavy E.T. Champ, own an NHRA Class Eliminations Wally, and finished 11th in NHRA Div. 1 Stock Eliminator in my rookie season with a 4-cyl front wheel drive car. Not that big of a deal, certainly, but I have raced in NHRA. Have you? I, along with Phil Burgess, started what became NHRA.com, and I developed the original NHRA Div. 1 website. I have been a spectator, racer, sponsor, consultant, employee, and promoter in the industry. Like your attacks on Adger Smith, your personal attacks on me are both laughable and ridiculous.

Before attacking someone's credibility, get some. Are Fletcher, Helms, Marshall, Emmons, Grubbs, etc. easier to beat at IHRA events? But then again, "If you do not race [IHRA], your opinions on [IHRA] are meaningless."

>> If you do not race NHRA, your opinions on what the NHRA should do are meaningless.

I've noted that in some of my own posts. Thanks for re-iterating. Although, I disagree with your line of thought... Should a business only be interested in what its current customers think? On the contrary, I believe many businesses advertise toward its past customers and potential future customers alike.

>> Funny how you never find fault with the IHRA

Now you really show your ignorance! LOL You must've missed the rather long and nasty thread that was around the other year regarding payouts and the dissolution of Div. 5. We've had some rather heated private disagreements this year as well. We've also done a lot of good over the years.
...and how does this have anything to do with the topic at hand?

>> which has only managed to shrink sportsman racing.

You might want to back that up with some information as compelling as how you were able to show how worthless Adger Smith's accomplishments are. LOL

>> your way of thinking are your privilege and have no bearing on anything beyond your own personal opinion.

Since you were able to concoct this notion, perhaps you could apply it to yourself. Your contributions to constructive conversation have been negligible. In this respect, even Ed O'Brien rates higher than you. Although he also enjoys belittling fellow posters, at least he expresses opinions on given topics!

You do amuse me, though, which is why I continue to waste my time with you. Maybe you'd care to post something constructive regarding the topic, though?

Hey Bob,

Obviously, my nonracer views probably mean nothing but ever since some no name jerk insulted Kevin on here I guess I have kind of taken it as a personal crusade to give my opinion whether it's wanted or not when someone who won't give his or her real name starts throwing around insults. I know most people say ignore them but I'm not one to just stand by and allow someone to be "attacked" without going to battle with them. I think at this point Kevin's not sure if I'm his girlie girl or his pit bull. GRIN. Of all the people that Kevin has introduced me to Adger was one who came across as someone with integrity and I really took a liking to so I was offended when he was insulted and since I'm home sick I probably have a lil too much time on my hands. LOL

I'm trying to learn a lil about racing and I feel like this forum can be very informative but I get tired of wading thru the BS of some of the no namers.

PS Thxs for defending me Mr Beard and come by Kevin's pit area and introduce yourself to me whenever I'm there sometime.

Sherrie

Sherrie, just remember, there are a lot of Jealouse people out there that are no namers, and anyone that knows Kevin, knows he is a straight up guy, so to hell with them, iv'e had them after me too, and i am still here. I wish you had to register to post on this forum, but what it is, is what it is! Tell Kevin Hello for me!

I recognize your name as someone that Kevin respects and are friends with so I will tell Kevin hello for you when I talk to him later tonight. Actually, I just got off the phone with him. Kevin and Mark Faul were in Kansas City eating dinner at McDonald's (I guess that's what happens when you get runner up). GRIN. They are slowly making their way to Chicago.

I know you're right and I could probably start up a new business defending the racers on this forum by people who don't have names but as stupid as it sounds I can't help but to believe that maybe some of them might be embarrassed enough to stop their bad behavior. And I do have too much time on my hands being at home sick lately. So, when I head out to fly on Friday, I guess everyone will be on his own again without me to defend them. HA

Have a great evening,
Sherrie

Smokey knows alot more about NHRA than you think boys.
Yup, that's becuz he's Tom Compton, or very leest, smokin' Tom's Compton. And he's a record holder too. Most hot air per cubic mouth space in NHRA. And has the smallest cojones known to mankind (if any).

What can I say to that other than the name doesn't ring a bell. I have to admit I find it a lil amusing when people get busted. Hey, thanks....uh, now, what is your name? GRIN

Oops, gotta go and explain to Kevin why I was causing trouble on the forum again. HEE HEE

Ms Sherrie, you stated: " I could probably start up a new business defending the racers on this forum ".
If you look back through all the bull**** and diatribe on this thread, you will see that IS exactly what I was doing. Defending NHRA racers! Your good friend Adger made disparaging remarks about nhra racers. Since Kevin is an nhra racer, I would think that you would question your friend Adger about his negative remarks, who himself said he may have went a little too far in his criticism after the fact.
My position through-out any of my postings is clear: As an nhra racer for over 40 years, I support nhra racers and the nhra and have no use for anyone showing dis-respect for them. While the ihra does have some good racers, I have no use for the ihra. Bin there done that and its a joke.
