Don I see your side of the story. With that being said the two men you are dealing with are some bright guys that make good points.I dont know how well you know Billy or Art but they are some of the craftiest men one could meet.Art ran hemi cars when they were new and was killer,Billy could make a car out of a beer can and it would be fast.I am not defending anyone but these are the guys I watched as a kid and dreamed of competing with.I guess I just want everyone to try and be as open minded as possible, its sucks what is happening but we got no place to go!!

Joe, Thanks for your input. I respect all the guys here. Their willingness to discuss the stuff is whats important, not the result. Thats the only way a better understanding is reached. You are correct in the long run where do we go? One of the Major issues is does the racer opinion "really "matter. Seems the advisory board deal was another failure and about the third time that format was tried.by NHRA and each time after forming the board or having the input meeting it folded for lack of responses or the man in charge was let go.
Good Luck. I have expressed my thoughts and as I do not currently race I will leave the discussion to those who do and hope to improve it.

Sorry Billy for semi hijacking your thread with the following comment.

Quit worrying about the amount of cars in a class and how many byes there are. To run class byes it only takes 15-30 minutes to run them. You are seeking a higher contingency payout for class and the need for more sponsors.

If you want sponsors who pay contingencies, tell NHRA to quit taking all the posted cash for the no shows.

Why is everyone always trying to "fix" Stock Eliminator by reducing classes?

I believe it was pointed out in another thread that Super Stock has almost twice as many classes.

442, Not to continue the discussion but my comments were for Both and even more pertained to SS where the GT and SS classes and Truck could all be combined if needed.
