Greg, you are 100% right; I have no idea why Adam's T-bolt smokes so much.

I'm going to have to stay "in house" on this one and say my brother's (Byron) SS/IA Camaro! Still undefeated in heads up runs!!

Although not the fastest SS/AM in the country I think Jim Reynolds beautiful '57 chevy is definitely the most impressive. Anytime you can get a '57 to run in the 8.80's quartermile and 5.50's eigth mile and leave like a pro stocker you are making some serious hp. The retro paint job is way cool too!

How about Jon Percy's 64 Plymouth lightweight in SS/AA last year at 8.61. Record still standing. Thats pushing a lot of air !!

Currently, John Calvert's SS/G

Good old Days, any of Dick Estevez's Cobra Jets. A one point, held the SS/EA and SS/FA records with the '68 light weight and the SS/GA and SS/HA record with the '69 Blue convertible. Also, prior to that, held the SS/H and SS/I records with the '69 Red convertible.

He was impressive at Indy. Sure can't say he crawled off into a class where he would be alone.

The 68 Lite wt. of Dicks was Al Joniac's 68 Winternationals winning car. Dick still had the title in Als name when he was racing it before old race cars became expensive collector cars. I used to travel with those guys (Dick and Alfred) and Jim Morgan a lot back then. I helped do some work (cylinder heads) on all 3 cars back in the day and helped in tear downs after class wins and records. It was a fun time and "stuff" and life was simpler. Great memories and great friends. On a sad note Dicks wife passed away last winter and she was one in a million. It wasnt the same seeing Dick at the York reunion this year without her.
