The mid 90's LT1 rated at 275hp to start now well over 340hp

All these combos were bogus HP to start. This is not something new. You guys act like it’s the end of the world. I ask you all this one question. What form of motorsports is old technology allowed to stay competitive?

And the part about old combos being thrown under the bus give me a break.
Three of the top five qualifiers at this weeks Fla PTS race were combos from 1969 and older.

Chad just so you know the SCJ can never be taken out of SS/AA they are hear to stay. Good luck with your IHRA racing. If it works for you that great. But be prepard for anything.
These guys just dont get it Charley! I guess up here in div.3 we just think a little diffrently than the rest of the "racers" on here. Ru coming to the open at muncie? If not see ya at the indy pts meet.We can sit around and have a few laughs about these no race a..clowns on here!

Hi, Larry. Hope you and Patsy are well.

I'm sure you remember the deal, as well as the comp eliminator short block. I remember the GM guy almost croaked when he saw it at teardown. But what had been done was done and nothing was done about. Kinda like now..........

And your going to Baton Rouge? Oh well! U still wont be able to outrun anybody or win a round in eliminator so i guess it really doesnt matter anyway! Now does it!!!??? See ya at the gators(as a spectator no less) u have to have grading points to come play with the big boys and enter a NHRA nat!But im sure u already know this! Since ur the ALL KNOWING SMART GUY on here!
you obviously don't know much about the state of Florida. From where I am at, houston is closer than West Palm or Immokalee and bradenton is a toss up. And yes, asshole I do own a car, dad owns one too. I can obviously outrun your *** because the only thing you race is your mouth. I could never beat you at that. As for racing IHRA vs NHRA, it has nothing to do with level of competition. it has everything to do with being fed up with the way NHRA treats sportsman racers (hell look at the screwing Comp is getting in Bradenton, just so they can lose money on some bracket cars). But if you'd like to post your REAL name (if you can spell it), then we can sit down at the end of the year and see who wins more rounds.

Hmmm. Can't make it to any in your home state, but you are going to drive clear up to Kentucky for a S/SS combo race that means...nothing? With a plan like that, no wonder you are so successful at dragging.

If *BIG IF* you make it - Challenge Accepted! Call NHRA, get the promotors involved, this could be bigger than the Snake vs. Mongoose rivalry. Better start practicing a$$clown, you're gonna need it! You dreamers are too easy to get a rise out of! This is the cheapest form of entertainment going these days.

my reason for going is simple. I can leave the car at a friend's up there, it pays out pretty good for the entry fee, and there is no D2 or D4 racing down here during the summer ( one IHRA race in San antonio i think). BTW bowling green=7 hours, bradenton=8, you need a geography lesson.

Yes I know but they (NASCAR) have been doing fine all this time with out FI. It will be interesting as now the "HAVES" will really be faster than the "HAVE NOTS" with more factory backing in place.
If FI is so wonderful why havent the Pro Stockers been allowed to use it and get rid of those UGLY hood scoops?
