I am ALWAYS the slower car. I'm not a classracer, just a bracket racer but still...Don't get me wrong if they changed the rule, it would help me out a lot, but why change. If I don't go red, I have nothing to worry about right? Red lights happen, its part of drag racing. I like the ruling as it is.

I'm more worried about gas being 3.37/gallon at my house right now then whether or not they're gonna change the rule or me being red tomrrow. Got more stuff to worry about. Like Mr. Hulquist said, practice more, complain less.

Chad Rhodes, you owe me a new computer chair. I literally fell over from laughing at your post so hard.

Let's see if lady luck is on my side today when I go bracket racing. Hopefully, I don't go red, but who knows.

Well unless it's a Cobra Jet your in for a real head ache. if it's an older combo you could be 4 to 8 tens behind, if it's a drag pak you will be alittle closer but not close enough the scare them.

Leave it the way it is. You dont have to be fast to win in a bracket race .
You have to be lucky first, and good second.

I would prefer to know that I won a race and that the wasn;t given to me because the other driver fouled in front of me. The faster car isn't an issue, the faster car may become a handicap. Also, look at the field in Pomona, 15% of the field are A/SA, how many fast cars can there be at one race, that would also change with more of a diversed field.

Scott, that is how it used to be on the old Crondek tree. I was "retired" when it changed. Both could red light when I "came back".

If your gonna cry about something, make it something you can't do anything about, like bogus hp factors. Those aren't your fault. Going red is.

I guess you`d have a point if I red lit alot, but I don`t. I go red in elims about 2 times a year and my average R/T is around a .030 for the entire season,T.O. and elims. Like I said, the rules made me become a better racer on the tree because a slow car varies so bad in ET,at times you need to make up for it on the starting line.

Do I feel bad when someone red lights against me? Hell no! I`m kind of fond of it,and when they break out against me too!

Cody,

Good luck @ the races & you are dead - on about changing the rules ... Did you ever notice, it's the people who don't race much that want to change the rules .... Worry, about HP factors & gas prices and improving your racing program and you may Win more.. Yes, I race a slower car & leave things alone & let's race more .... Sorry , Life is not FAIR , build a faster Car.....

If we were to be democratic about it, and took a vote among actually active racers ( and since most actually active racers have the faster cars, or cars in the middle that see it from both sides) the vote likely would be to leave the rules alone. Mostly the guys wanting it changed don't even race that much, or run a slow enough car that they most always leave first. If you read light, it's your fault. Did you not know the rules when you chose what car to race?
